One of my close friends is getting married this month, and she asked me a simple question, one that is on many brides minds... which lipstick do I wear?
In all honesty I couldn't answer the question, it seems impossible, to pick a lipstick on a day you are going to remember forever..... it needs to look good in all the photos, last throughout the day, including drinking and a big meal... it just seems the impossible choice.
So here I am reaching out to you to ask which one did you choose? Or which one would you think you would want to wear? I'm up for checking out any and all suggestions, so please leave a comment below.
I'm the meantime, here are my top picks from my stash.
Urban Decay Native (£15.50) - A true petal pink. The sheen and wear on this formula really is fantastic, the colour really is perfect for a wearable pink, something that will show, but not stand out if it wears off.
Clinique Nude Pop (£16.00) - A more sheer toned pink nude, this will give you zero hassle throughout the day, and easily reapplied.
YSL Rouge Volupte 32 (£26.00) - I'm not normally a huge fan of this for day to day wear, but I must admit it really would be perfect for a wedding, very smooth and almost gloss like - without the stick. Coral peachy shade, which screams summer wedding. This will also wear for a surprisingly long time, and has no signs of wear - it will simply fade until you reapply. Perfect for a busy bride.
Urban Decay Rush (£15.50) - This to me is the "my lips but better" shade. Just a smoother finish to how lips already look, I really love this on, and should probably wear it more often.
Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector Rosewood Shimmer (£18.00) - The one and only gloss I own (because I hate sticky) but this one would be ideal for a wedding, beautiful on, and has very little stick, so no hair stuck to your face mid photo. Always a winner.
So let me know which shades you would go for? Which finish? I seem to have stayed clear of my usual matte obsession, but I just feel on a wedding it should be more of a sheen? or can you think of a good alternative? Let me know below, I cannot wait to see which ones are recommended :)

I would choose Urban Decay Rush, but that's because it's the darkest and I'm more biased, haha. I still don't know if I'm going to do my own wedding makeup, but if I do I will wear MAC Retro, or I'll at least wear it for the engagement photos :)

I think your selection is wonderful, all of them look so romantic and beautiful! I would choose the YSL 32 one because it's bright and vibrant but not too much, it's a perfect lipstick! :)

I love every single one of these colours! Gorgeous post, I have Rush and I have to say that is my favourite out of all the swatches, such a beautiful pretty colour, that's not too much but doesn't look like nothing either x

Rush looks gorgeous! It's such a hard decision to make for a bride though... I think I'd probably go for something really classic like my Clarins Tawny Rose lipstick (totally agree something with a sheen seems more fitting) xx

For myself, I dream of a winter wedding, so I'd probably wear something bold like a deep berry or wine color. But these shades are just lovely for all year round! I'm in love with that "rush" shade <3 But I love all these elections!

Ooh, I have a ridiculous amount of love for your sugary-sweet pink lip shades! Though I'm not married and so unable to say what I wore on my wedding day, I think the safest option is to opt for one you're not going to look back on and cringe; something that flatters but doesn't 'steal the show'.. so any of yours, really! :)

I wore a lipstick by Bobbi Brown. It was in the shade 73 Pale Mauve. Ad I loved it soooo much! It stayed on really nicely while being quite moisturizing at the same time. The shade is so pretty!! I should wear it more often <3 :)
