Recently I keep going for the same type of makeup look, and Kate (from The Makeup Artist's Choice) Pointed out that it is very 1950's pin up. The minute she said it - I thought "oh yeah!" but it is genuinely the look I have been using on a daily basis recently. It is just so quick, so easy - yet looks like you have spent ages on it. The perfect combo!
I have just been using a standard base, concealer and contour, none specifically it changes due to my mood.
I have then been skipping the eyeshadow all together, and doing my flicked liner with my trusty Seventeen Wet Look Liner (I never use anything else) this is just such an intense precise line. I then build up my lashes using a mascara - right now I am using the Lancome Grandiose Mascara (which is nice, but not worth £26.00 in my opinion!)
For the lips I have been using the Barry M Red Lip Liner with the Clinique Matte Lipstick in "Ruby Pop" For being a lipstick not many people talk about - this really is a stunning finish. It just stays put all day. Definitely recommend. Non drying too - which is ideal for a red :)
Aaaaand because it's 2017 - and it's me - you gotta have the GLOW. I have been so obsessed with my new Cover FX drops in "Moonlight" they just give the perfect inner glow for this type of look. People won't quit staring at your cheekbones, wondering how you manage to glow like that!
