Embossed in the same way as the blush the new lid pop has a beyond stunning flower pattern which will break your heart to use.
I have been using this for about two weeks now, the local Clinique counter had them in stock early and were selling early too, YAY!

But anyway, onto the product. The colour range isn't the biggest at the moment, with only 8 shades to choose from. Willow pop was the one that stood out the most for me. A green gold which is very similar to my favourite MAC eye shadow sumptuous olive.
Now, I hate to compare.. BUT I just wasn't overly impressed with the formula from Clinique. to get a good wash of colour, you need a heavy amount of product on your brush... and for a high value eye shadow I just expect more. I have used this about 4 times now, and in those 4 uses the centre of the embossing has completely gone. To swatch it, I did need to swatch twice to really show the colour.

Comparing next to sumptuous olive it is definitely more green and less gold, but out of the two Sumptuous Olive is the cheaper option, and has a better payoff... so if it came down to it, I would always recommend the MAC option (Sorry Clinique)
But despite the pay off, the colour is stunning, and it will last you the full day. So if you are happy with a more subtle colour, or can handle having to build up a colour the Clinique Lid Pops really are beautiful to have in your stash.
Can pick one up here for £15.00
I love the Clinique pop lipsticks and I have a few of the eyeshadow duos. The lipsticks are amazing but I agree with you on the eyeshadows, they're pretty sheer. Beautiful packaging though!

DeleteIt looks so gorgeous and the packaging is on point. Sad, that it isn't as good as Mac.
