I have been completely living for the new ripped jeans, ripped t-shirt, chocker, old school vans kind of look recently. This has been one trend I am well on board with, but sometimes I just feel like I am not cool enough, especially when it comes to being edgy. It just isn't me.. so I thought I would show you how I am doing my makeup right now, "Fake it till you make it" and all.
I have just been doing my base the same as I typically would. Choosing a more subtle blush and a whiter highlight to make my pale skin glow.
For eyes its all about the black heavy smokey eyes, and because its me, it has to be glittery too. I feel like I have been thrown back to the 2000's with all the eye liner too. Just go for something black, heavy black and lots of liner, its hard to go wrong with a black smokey, just remember the lashes too!
I have been putting in pops of colour too, just to ease up on the black eye look. I have been loving using silver or more out there colours like blue, the Urban Decay Electric Palette is perfect for this.
For lips it totally depends on what I am doing and where I am going. If there is food involved I usually go nude. Think really nude. MAC Honey Love nude.
For a bold look I go a liquid lip, it is much easier to pull of and maintain on a night out - especially with drink involved! My favourite bold reddy dark lipstick is Kat Von D Vampira, this alone, or with MAC on and on layered on top is just perfection.
For bolder I go either Black Matte, or black with a shimmer. If you don't have a black lipstick, don't worry - just use a black eye liner! To get the shimmer I layer on eyeshadow, blend it in. It feels odd at first, but the look is so funky :) (And makes you look like a total bad ass - even if you really aren't!)

Love Honey Love by mac! I love the glam goth look especially in winter. In summer I think Whirl by mac is good for 90s grunge with winged liner. Great post, love the swatches! Xh
