I love painting my nails, I love looking at the different colours, I love the fresh feeling of just painted your nails, and I love how much cheaper they are than getting them done at a salon. Even with my obsession with buying more and more colours or multiple shades of blue, I am still doing better than buying a set of acrylics!
So here are my top tips for summer shades this year, and what I think you need to keep your eye on!

1. Nails Inc Lexington Gardens £15.00
I am in love with this shade. It is just utter perfection. It is the perfect shade for summer, it just seems to go with everything. Not too dark and not too pastel :)
2. BarryM On Your Marks £2.99
How could I do a post like this without a yellow? This is my favourite yellow, I love to do an accent nail in this colour, or my toes, or all my nails. I love Yellow, and nails are no exception :)
3. Next Surfs Up £4.00
I love the colour of this, it is just summer sun and sea in a bottle. It is the shade of the water on the best holidays, I love it.
4. Roxanne Campbell Off To Jamaica* £10.00
This shade is my perfect orange. I love the colour of it, it is just so bright! This will look amazing on summer nights out or days at the beach, looking forward to having this on my nails most of summer.
5. Roxanne Campbell Sitting Pretty* £10.00
I'm not the hugest fan of a pink nail, but then I am not a fan of pink anything... but if there is a time for it its on summer holidays paired with ice cream and sunglasses. This one is my ideal pink, bright, makes a stand and not too girly!
6. BarryM Blueberry £3.99
This is my cooler tone blue choice, can you tell I really like a blue nail? I love the shade of this, so stunning. If the other is the water, this is the sky. So pretty!
7. 3INA UV Top Coat* £6.95
Now this is the perfect shade to all the party goers and the holiday makers. This one is the perfect top coat, as it is clear all day, then under UV light simply glows! It is fab! And what a talking point while on holiday! :)
8. Rimmel Roll in The Grass £2.99
Yup, another shade of blue, but it is so pretty! I don't think I ever get fed up of a blue nail like this, and this one is quickly becoming a favourite :)

And of course you need a quick way of removing and I completely stand by these twist pots. They are just so easy. I love how unfussy they are, and they make changing your nail colour so quick and easy. They are cheap as chips too and last for a good little while. This one is from boots and is £2. The primark ones are good too, especially for £1.

Do you still wear nail varnish? Which shades do you love for summer? Let me know in the comments below :)
