Say hello to my newest additions.
I have been wanting one for months now, but every single time they become available on Cocktail cosmetics, I miss them. EVERYTIME.
I'm happy they are stocked in the UK, but cocktail cosmetics do not give you a time of when they are going up, they just say "Friday" then will release on Twitter. I have set up an alert for when they post, but you then get every post they put up. I got fed up of it. Then end up out when they are going live, the website wont work and they go out of stock. This has happened about 5 times now.
So Jeffree had a surprise launch of lipsticks a few weeks back and restocked his lipsticks, in my frustration, and seeing that he still had 3 of my most wanted still in stock I placed an order straight from the source.
Shipping, Handling and Costs
Each lipstick cost me $18.00, with a $10.95 postage charge. $64.95 Total (£46.38)
They then took 4 days to get to the UK, then 6 days at customs, and 2 days to be delivered - totalling 12 days.
Customs are evil, and charged me £15.50 for the pleasure. It seems that even if you order one, you are looking at at least a £10 custom charge, so order more if you are ordering from the US - as they do take a handling fee.
What I will say as a word of warning USPS do only track to the UK, not your door. So as soon as customs hand it to Royal Mail, it is considered "Delivered" on the system. It really freaked me out. They are also delivered by Royal Mail, which are easy to deal with and predictable (which to me is a great thing)
So in total I spent £61.88, that's £20.62 per lipstick.
So yes, they are sold for £14 on Cocktail Cosmetics, but the overcharge to me has been worth it, so much so I did the same with his highlighters. Fingers crossed they arrive in one piece!
The Lipsticks
Now onto the good bit. *emoji heart eye*
These lipsticks are BEAUTIFUL. The colours are just incredible, totally unique, don't have any like these in my stash already - lipstick or liquid. However they do remind me of my 3 all time favourites (MAC Honey Love, MAC Velvet Teddy & MAC Mehr) but all 3 are different tones. Something different yet the same.
The packaging is beautiful, it has an air pump to control the amount of product on your brush, the applicator has a doe foot for perfect application. My favourite part of the packaging has to be the click when you twist them close though, they just feel sturdy and well made. Plus those pink lids are beautiful.

What I would say is that most of his lipsticks do have a chemical smell - (they are supposed to) but for 3 seconds while until it dries it really isn't much of a complaint.
The lipsticks are a full matte appearance, so make sure to scrub up your lips before applying. They will though last the full day. Eating, kissing. No worries. They will also give your lips an appearance of looking bigger, fuller. Especially Doll Parts. Getting my pout on like Jeffree himself.

I have had a few people ask about wearability, and if they are comfortable. In all honesty yes, Totally. I would say the formula feels very similar to the NYX ones once it has dried, it isn't sticky or tacky, and wont come off onto your teeth etc, it doesn't dry out your lips as long as you use lipbalm before you apply. I will typically use a lip scrub and lip balm before I apply any makeup, and this seems to help a lot when you are wearing liquid lipstick. For me the Jeffree obsession is real, keep your Kylie Lip Kits. I am on team J*. Next release, will be a must, and i'm sure his products will just get better and better.

Suuuuuuuuuuch gorgeous lip colours, lady! I'm in LOVE! My friend absolutely adores everything by Jeffree Star...I'm just whipping up the courage to go all out on a blue lipstick at the moment. I'm getting far too comfortable in my nudes!

These are the exact same shades I would choose, dying to try his new Beauty Killer Palette and the Skin Frosts. Everything he comes out with looks so gorgeous, I can't cope. Did you find the formula to be quite drying? I know that's part of the deal with matte lips but I have heard many compliment the formula of the Velour Liquid Lipsticks as being very wearable/comfortable in comparison to some others on the market. So awesome that they make your lips look fuller, I hadn't heard that but you can see the effect they have in his videos. They do seem to make your lips look really plump. Great review, and stunning shades. Thanks for sharing! Xx
